Part 1: Reflection
For the first part of your journal this week, I would like you to reflect on this week at school. What went well, what didn't, and what did you learn? Be sure to talk about this class in your entry as well - what did you learn this week if anything, and what did you like or not like about what we have been working on.
Part 2: In all things give thanks
It's much too easy in life to take for granted the very things that we enjoy or depend on the most. We get busy and tend to focus on the fires in our lives. Unfortunately we can get to a place where it seems like everything is going bad or wrong. When actually, if you take a moment to pause, you would see that you have a ton of things to be thankful for. So, for this part of your journal, I want you to list as many things as you can that you have to be thankful for. Think about things at home, school, work (if applicable), your friends, your town, your country, things you own, things people do for you (even the people behind the scenes that make everything work). List as many as you can.
CHALLENGE
This part is not required, but I challenge you to take a few moments to say thank you to the people around you that work hard to make things good for you. Say thanks, send a note, letter, or email, or take the time to tell their supervisor how good of a job they do. It means a lot and getting into that habit will make you a better person!
